Lori Borden B.S.W, M.S.W, R.S.W, RP

Lori Borden is both a registered psychotherapist and social worker. She completed her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work at York University. Lori’s clinical focus has concentrated on working with people who were homeless, and assisting those dealing with trauma, abuse, addictions and complex mental health issues. She adopts a interpersonal neurobiology approach to psychotherapy and has a strong clinical interest in trauma and its impact on individuals, families and communities. She has extensive experience as an individual and family psychotherapist that has worked with adults, youth and their parents in both community and hospital based mental health systems. Lori also holds the position of adjunct lecturer in the Department of Youth and Child Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

Lori has a vast array of experience working with groups, couples, families, and individuals assisting them to regain their footing and direction. She develops and facilitates workshops, provides consultations, supervises students, writes articles and offers practical strategies for not only coping and surviving but for hoping and striving.
